No b&k brand option for preamp, so I will use learn to program the pronto . The buttons say o.k. during the learning process but none of the commands will actually work the b&k ref 31 processor. Some buttons won't learn from the dish network 921 remote but those might rf only. Also strange that there is no projector option as far as adding device. My old original pronto that was destroyed by the recliner, was able to operate my preamp and I believe had projector in the device category. Any help on these matters will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

You could always start by loading your old Pronto's CCF into ProntoProEditNG (File menu, Import).

My old pronto was programmed manually, without the computer, and is long dead and buried.

Try looking in files area of this site. There are several CCFs and PCFs for the B&K Ref 30 with (presumably) working codes.
