I have a pronto TSU 3000 and right now I have the hard buttons programmed to raise and lower the volume. The problem I have is when you press the button it only changes the volume one step. What I would like to have happen is when press and hold the volume button the volume increases or decreases as long as you hold the button down.

Many people have had this problem. Try re-learning the volume keys from the original remote. Experiment with keeping the keys pressed for various durations.

learn the code directly to the volume up and down hard buttons on the device properties page for the tv/amp (no links, if you link here you create a macro which will not 'step up/down' while held).

now, link your volume up and down buttons from your other device pages to the hard button volume up and down on the device page for the tv/amp and this should work (this worked for my system).

also it is very important to get a clean code, you may search the forums and configurations here to double check your code against a like tv/amp.

So what exactly are you trying to control. I always put each device 's codes on one page, including volume and linking them to the system page. Volume punches through to each device.

Trying learning with different button press times and play with the duration feature. The duration feature has solved many a problem I have had, especially with the Yamaha receiver's.

Also, make sure your IR code is the only action on your button. Otherwise, it will only transmit once.

It would help if you stated what equipment you are trying to control. Volume up/down is common to just abour everyone's Pronto and, to my knowledge, it almost always works.

I have the Hard buttons at the system level programmed to the volume codes on my Yamaha amp. They voulme up down works fine no matter where I am but it will only go up or down .5db per button press. What I am looking for is to press and hold the hard button and have the ir continue to send the ir code for volume up or down as long as i hold the button. That way I do not have to press the volume buttons 20 times to get to the volume I want.

900A 006D 0000 0001 7A85 1AE5 vol up

900A 006D 0000 0001 7A85 1BE4 vol down

these codes work for my yamaha amp. you may also try to program the vol buttons at the device level of your yamaha amp. check the codes against yours...keep trying...dmc
