Has any one been able to find a discrete power on/off codes for the JVC DVD players? I have the XV-NP1SL model, but pretty sure the code, if one exists, is a generic one.
Also if any one knows, Dish Network released several new MPEG-4 receivers as of February 1st. They are ViP211 and ViP622. They look very different from the 811. I have order the ViP211, but have not received it. Can anyone that might have it, confirm if the power on/off discrete codes in the discrete section work with that receiver?
Thanks

Roddy's right on target for this workaround.
Play let's you make sure it is on, then you can turn it off. If play powers it on, then do this:
Play Delay Power
This way you know when it is on and can turn it off.
