Hi all,

I just purchased a TSU7000. The first problem I already gave myself is, when I was in learn mode and pressed the 'Lights' icon (main one). Now when I go to use it it will not go into the sub menues when I press 'Lights'. I press it and it thinks it needs to send an signal out.. How do I get it back so it goes to the light sub menus.

Also, anyone that can send me easy links / threads from here on basic stuff like getting icons and typing in remote codes (do not now how to do that yet) would be great. Or, any cool tricks.

I also have an HD Tivo and it does not seem to pick that unit up.

Thanks in advance for any help!

To recover the old config, download the default.pcf that should be located somewhere in the folder where PPENG runs.

With regard to learning, icons, etc... Read both the Pronto and Pronto NG FAQ. Then, download and read the ProntoEdit 4 User's guide. Pressing F1 in the software also helps bunches. The PPENG Help file is a great resource to help get you started.

Then, there's the Ultimate Pronto Guide. Available from http://www.prontowizard.com

Thx for the info, another dumb question.. where is that PPENG folder? Is it in the pronto edit software? Will that erase my custom buttons that I programmed?

Thx again in advance.

Using the Default PCF will take you back to the factory supplied configuration.

It sounds like you replaced the action on the Lights button with an IR Code. You need to use the Pronto Edit sotware to change the action back to a Jump.

Also, it is easier to learn codes from the Pronto Edit software. On some (usually older) computers this does not work too well. If that happens to you, download your config to the Pronto, learn the codes directly on the Pronto, then upload the config back to your computer.

Also, make sure you are using the latest version of Pronto Pro Edit NG, and firmware. Older versions have problems.

The PPENG folder is the folder where you installed the PPENG software.

Thx for this Peter. Is there easy steps to get to this in that software, can you list it?

Also, thx Lyndel... I just figured out the PPENG was means the actual software.

Sorry for these simple questions, I am just lost on this think right now and already messed that button up.

If you made changes directly on your Pronto that you have not uploaded to your PC, you will need to upload your configuration first.

If you made your changes using ProntoProEdit, thenjust open your PCF.

Expand the Home device
Double click on the page called "Control".
If this is the page you want to change:
Double click on the Lights button, to opn its Properties
Click on the Actions tb
This should have one action called "Jump to Lights - Lights"
If it does not
Click the button labelled "Jump"
Expand the device called "Lights"
Click on the page called "Lights"
Click OK

Peter, can't thank you enough. That worked and I would not be able to figure that out.

Another question, I have a celing fan lamp that has a light both of wich are controlled from a remote. I can't seem to get the pronto to learn the buttons on this. I have switched to RF but not sure what I am missing..?

Thx.

You can't control RF devices using your Pronto (except in rather specific circumstances). The RF capability is for driving the optional RF Extender.
