I have the Samsung 360 HD Sat Receiver. Also have the Pronto TSU-7000.
I am currently using the RX6000 RF extender for all of my gear (it is all in the back of my media room). Everything works great this way, Including projector and even subwoofer!
However, the Sat receiver is sooooo off and on. Mostly off I would say! Going through the menus of the Samsung 360 Sat receiver, it says it can operate with remote signlas of 1) IR 2) IR/RF 3) RF.
So, it sounds like this Sat receiver can take the RF signal directly from my pronto (eliminating the use of RX6000 for it). But, when I try and enable it - it asks for an RF ID.
No clue where I can find this! Can't find it in the menus (setup) of the remote. Its not in the manual. Is it in Pronto Edit? Where can I find this?
I had a 360 and it worked without a hitch on IR (Pronto 7000). Unless you want HD recording, I wouldn't rush to get rid of the 360. It is a far superior tuner to the HD10-250 that I replaced it with. Handles cable which the HD10 won't accept, and has a much slicker channel navigation system. The HD10-250's tuning system is slow as molasses, and I (and many others) have lots of problems with IR signal reception reliability. If you can't get it to work with RF, you can get an inexpensive IR repeater as Springs suggests.
