Been using my pronto without issue for over a year now. Just recently it has been acting odd going from 'page' to 'page'. I'm getting a 5+ second pause before it jumps to the new page.
I reloaded my pcf file but the problem still remains.
I have nothing in my pcf to pause between screens.

This is mostly an inconvenience, but I wanted to check with the experts to see if a) this is potentially a bigger problem or b) there is something I am missing that I should check.

Functionally, there is no change. Touch-screen button presses still work just fine. The only issue is moving from one page to another.

Thanks for your help.

This is a perceived memory leak and has been reported using firmware 3.8.14. A reset of the remote and/or download of new config every 2 weeks or so should fix the problem.

That was it - thank you!

I'm not sure which firmware version I'm on right now. Is it always wise to upgrade?

Usually, however, there may be some unexpected side-effects that the update may bring. This latest update was to fix a macro cancellation issue that was reported. However, something in the fix manifests itself such that the remote slows over time.

Behavior like this is usually attributed to a memory leak in a normal program. However, there has been no confirmation from the ProntoTeam as of yet that a memory leak does exist.

Lyndel, thanks for that.
I have been wondering why my Pronto seems to slow down and then speed up. The slow down has always occurred only when I haven't done some update work for several weeks.
