You import it using File->Import CCF... into PENG or PPENG. Then, download the file file to the 3000 or 7000 and test each button that you don't know about. Simple as that.
FYI, you are going through the same process that we all go through when we are looking for discrete codes. In fact, this is how discretes are found in the absence of Manufacturer's Data.

Well,
I went thru all the 255 functions and could not find the TV source discrete code. If anyone have the Samsung LCD TV with the TV source discrete code or any other ideas to find the code I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Did any of the 255 codes work? If so, then there may not be a discrete for the function.
If not, then there may be a problem with the codeset. For example, if you pressed button #2 and it did not function as Power Toggle, then the codes generated by Makehex may not be right.

Out of 255 functions I only got about 50 that I could see working. Power ON/OFF worked, all the numbers, volume up/down, channels up/down and many other functions were working.
You brobably right, at this moment there is probably no code for that function.

Contact Samsung and see if they have a firmware upgrade that supports the code. Earlier versions of Sammy units did not have discrete power codes. Some units were field-upgradeable with memory cards, some earlier units actually required that boards be swapped. Until you ask, you will never know. Just hope you can get someone on the phone who is knowledgeable and not some chucklehead that quotes the manual to you.
Best of luck, Lyndel
