Are there any on-off discrete codes for the Motorola cable boxes, specifically the DCT2000? I couldn't find anything listed in the discrete files for the 3000.

Been discussed many, many times before in this forum and the Pronto forum.

The simple answer is No. Leave it on all the time.

Thanks Lyndel, I was afraid that would be the answer.

I just did up a device for the Motorola DCT6412 III which is available for download today via my TSU7000 PCF. Might be worth a look to you. Turned out real nice. No discrete power codes of course, but the DVR can't record scheduled programming if the unit is turned off anyway. :-P

There is no discrete power commands.
However, give this one a try.

Discrete Off -
1. Menu
2. Power

Discrete On -
1. Menu
2. Power
3. Power

Thanks Mark, I'll try that. Right now I'm just leaving it on.
