I have had this TSU-7000 for a couple of months now and for me it is a total pain in the *** to program. Does anyone have a better tutorial or resource references to better learn how to program this thing - it looks pretty but what do you need a computer science degree just to get it to learn simple functions. It's easier to use my 7 individual remotes for my home theatre than to try and figure this darn thing out. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks in Advance, Tom

Have you read the FAQ here? Also, check out the Ultimate Pronto Guide which you can buy.

I purchased the Ultimate Pronto Guide that Peter mentions but I can't say yet how much I like it because I'm still waiting for the Pronto to arrive :)

Tom,
It's actually quite simple. There are a lot of people on this forum that will help answer questions you have. What is it that you find most difficult? The one thing that I learned when setting up my first CCF was to think about the layout. The next hardest thing - what do you want your buttons to look like? Once you create one button, it's the same procedure for creating every other button. Tell us what problems you're running into so we can help. It's an AWESOME remote once you get it set up properly, trust me!

Tom: I HAVE purchased the Ultimate Pronto Guide and if you do not purchase one for yourself you will be making a big mistake.

This Guide assumes you know nothing except basic computer skills. You sound much like I felt until I found out about the Ultimate Pronto Guide. This will have you up and running in no time, as it takes you step by step, it is great!

Good luck ,John

Brian: you can dl the editor and start working on the config even without the Pronto. The only things you cannot do is learn codes and see what it really looks like

Hi Tom
I have a 7000 and I was scared of it and thought it was going to be a pain in the a** too, but when I fianly decided to go for it. I was useing the 7000 inside of an hour or two. Just use the Guide that came with the unit. It will show you how to learn codes from your existing remotes , rename the buttons to match your factory remotes and do macro functions. You will need the computer when you decide to get fancy and be creative. But you will be using that 7000. inside of an hour if you read the guide carefully and dont be afraid of the unit. good luck Jim
