I have a tsu7000 there is a jog button on the original remote for the sony that simply turns on and off. I am wondering if there is a way to get the jog to program into the 7000. What the buton does is activate a turn dial so you can reverse or forward in slow motion. the jog button does not send an ir code. this is the only feature I can not get to work. Any feedbak would be great. I looked at other config files but have seen nothing on this feature.
Thanks in advance. I am going through the wizzard guide which is awsome by the way. Getting there slowly but surly.

Since the "jog" button does not seed a IR code it cannot ever be incorporated into your 7000. Why not try and just turn that feature on with your original remote( use the jog button} and learn the slow forward and reverse to an appropriate button or template. You could link them to a hard button for that device page if you have two extra ones.
Also many files for the sony devices exist as well as discrete codes that work for similiar Sony devices.

Good luck,

Tim

On this same DVD player it has a search forward and a search back button. If you push it once it is one speed and if you push it again it changes to a faster speed. When I added the ir for this function I have to hold it or it goes right back into play mode. How can I make it react like the oem remote? I tried two short pushes while learning but no luck. I couldn't find a descrete code either.

Sounds like the code might have been learned wrong, keep trying until a quick push makes it behave like your original remote, then you should have it. Try learning in a dark room and be persistent with quickly pushes. vary the distance .angle and duration of push and then try it each time.
