-What is PENG?
-Are TSU-3000 config. files compatible with other pronto files?
-Can you use bitmaps from other Pronto remotes on the 3000?
-When is there going to be a file archive for the TSU-3000?

Thanks!!

PENG stands for Pronto Edit Next Generation.
Which means this remote was built from scratch.

The files, not sure if you can export them and safe them as. Or if you could import them to ProntoEdit 4.05

Yes you can use bitmaps from other pronto remotes. However, you have to realize this remote is the first to have 16 shades of gray. So it will be better to use it's own bitmaps. Or make them yourself. But from what I heard, when you import a pronto pro ccf it changes the color to 16 gray pretty nicely.

There may not be a file section for a while. Due to the fact that the remote has only been out for 2 weeks. And non of the elite membors of this site has one yet. Although some of us has played with PENG for the past month or so. But we're not too happy with it though.

What is PENG?

like Rob said, it is the editor for the 3000 as opposed to PE that is for the 1000,2000,6000

Are TSU-3000 config. files compatible with other pronto files?

one way , PENG can import a CCF, but I don't think you can go from PCF->CCF

Can you use bitmaps from other Pronto remotes on the 3000?

Like rob said, why would you want to. The 1000/2000 only had 4 shades, the 3000 has 16. I heard it is not bad with color icons, but I have not tried it yet. But if you really want, you can either import a CCF or save the bitmaps, and then it is a simple load.

When is there going to be a file archive for the TSU-3000?

eventually, give Daniel some time to create it. Also like Rob has said, even if there were an area, it would probably not have any files in it.

If you have a file, send it my way. When the number gets up to 10 or so, I'll open a file area (need something to put in the area before it can be created).
