Oops--sorry. I didn't notice how old this thread is. I am sure Eric solved his problem a long time ago.

You will need to use a slight Macro hack to get the on and off to work correctly:
On would be:
Menu delay Toggle Power delay Toggle Power
Off would be:
Menu delay Toggle Power
You'll need to test the delay, but 1 second is more than enough I have a Verizon Motorola QIP6416, the cousin of this box. I've found the above to work if I put in no delay between the menu and power toggle. However, The "on" macro does not work if the box is recording. If recording, the "menu" is ignored and both power toggles are handled, therefore leaving the box in the exact same state. Anyone found anything that works with the QIP when recording? Thanks

The discrete codes don't exist but if by some ungodly chance they send you some functions, I'll be more than happy to use makehex to generate the Pronto IR sequences for you. I read at [Link: digitalhome.ca] that the discrete power on/off hex codes for the Pace Summit (DC758D) are as follows: * HEX 4A (0x4A) for Power On * HEX 4B (0x4B) for Power Off I have a hunch that these DC758D codes may work with the DCT-6412 since I believe that both boxes are used by Comcast. Could you generate IR hex codes that we could try?

Can you please post the learned code data from Power Toggle and Channel + Unfortunately, I do not have the means to dump the hex codes. I am not using a Pronto remote. I am using the L5 remote adapter described at http://www.l5remote.com/ for use with an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Its a great product. It includes the capability to assign hex codes to keys. What I have been looking for is separate hex codes to turn on and off each of my components. No problem finding usable codes for all of my components except for the Comcast provided DCT-3416 DVR and remote that I have. Everything that I have read suggests simply leaving the DVR on all the time, since there are no separate on and off codes, supposedly. I had a hunch that the codes listed for the Pace DVR might work since the same Comcast remote is used to control it.

I'm sure Lyndel will tell you if this idea is just too much trouble, but you could get an old TS1000 on ebay and learn the codes into it several times. ProntoEdit, in the files section, lets you see and therefore copy and past the hex codes.
The remote could cost up to a hundred bucks, so that might not be worth it. When you learn a code, it doesn't come out perfect, which is why I suggested learning each one several times. But if you really want to pursue something here, that's one avenue for seeing what you're doing in hex terms.

Please blink back the setup code which the Comcast remote uses while controlling the Pace. Then we can generate the appropriate Pronto Hex. 0x4A just isn't enough information, but the setup code will fill us in.

The setup code that I get is 1376, but this is the Motorola setup code. To the best of my knowledge, there are only two Comcast setup codes for my remote, one for Scientific Atlanta boxes and one for Motorola boxes. Pace boxes are controlled with the Motorola box setup. I don't have a Pace box myself.

Thank you so much for your effort. Unfortunately, my DCT-3416 did not respond to those codes. Would the following additional information and POWER command that does work help?
Motorola STB Code Format: learned code (0000h), 38kHz carrier (006Dh), 18 total burst pairs (0012h), two pairs in sequence #2 (0002h), lead pair (0159h 00ADh), 16 sequence #1 burst pairs, sequence #2 burst pairs (0013h 04A2h 0159h 0057h), out pair (0013h 0D23h)
Power, 01010000 00000110, 00001010 01100000, 0A60h 0000 006D 0012 0002 0159 00AD 0013 0057 0013 00AD 0013 0057 0013 00AD 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 00AD 0013 00AD 0013 0057 0013 04A2 0159 0057 0013 0D23
This information is included in the file mot-cab-dct6208-2.zip downloaded from RC.

The code you have provided is function 0x0A (reverse the first 8 bits) (decimal 10) and a device of 0x60 (reverse the 2nd set of 8 bits) (decimal 96)
I used MakeHex with a modified version of the GI_cable.irp file as follows:
Device=96 Function=74..75
Protocol=G.I.cable Frequency=38400 Time Base=245 Zero=2,-9 One=2,-18
'Define C=-(D+F:4+F:4:4) Define C=-(D+(F:4)+(F:4:4)) Form=36,-18,F:8,D:4,C:4,2,-120;36,-9,2,-356
To generate functions 74 and 75 (0x4A and 0x4B)
Device Code: 96 Function: 74 0000 006C 0012 0002 0153 00A9 0013 0055 0013 00A9 0013 0055 0013 00A9 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 00A9 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 00A9 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 0468 0153 0055 0013 0D14 Device Code: 96 Function: 75 0000 006C 0012 0002 0153 00A9 0013 00A9 0013 00A9 0013 0055 0013 00A9 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 00A9 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 00A9 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 0055 0013 0468 0153 0055 0013 0D14
If these do not work, you are S.O.L.
As a workaround, I have seen some use 'Menu' for Power On and 'Power Toggle' for Power Off.

I substituted information that I provided into your codes (3FG) yielding the following, which didn't work either. Does that mean that this has all been a waste of time? Test On 0000 006D 0012 0002 0159 00AD 0013 0057 0013 00AD 0013 0057 0013 00AD 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 00AD 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 00AD 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 04A2 0159 0057 0013 0D23 Test Off 0000 006D 0012 0002 0159 00AD 0013 00AD 0013 00AD 0013 0057 0013 00AD 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 00AD 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 00AD 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 0057 0013 04A2 0159 0057 0013 0D23

OK! I just tried your codes. Lyndel, before and after I modified them as follows. No go either way.
