I programmed my Channel up and Down, Volume up and Down to a link with the IR codes, as well as Home to the home page..
The home button only works on certain pages, and the Channel and Volume buttons don't work at all, even though the page it's linking to works fine with the soft buttons.
Does anyone have any idea why and how to correct this?
It's been driving me up a wall trying to figure it out.
Thanks!

Also, if anyone has the codes for an Onkyo TX-860 receiver, let me know.. the Pronto isn't able to learn the codes from the original remote. I have it learning from a universal remote that works with the receiver, but the universal doesn't have all the remote features that I need to put in the pronto.

The channel and volume hard buttons must be programmed on every device in their properties page, unlike the 2000 where you just programmed in the Home system properties page. If you have already done this then I don't have an answer for you and maybe someone else will jump in with another idea.

I have been having problems of the same sort and I have noticed that if you don't learn from the original that the codes maybe "dirty" and they work when they want. Try learning from a button tap and try from different distances between the two remotes. My tivo remote wouldn't learn the codes fro a couple of buttons with cut and paste so I had to relearn them with the remotes about 5 feet apart. I also noticed that if I was in aroom with alot of sunlight it was harder to learn(naturaly). Good luck I hope this helps.

I got caught by both of these suggestions. I did one set of hard buttons on the system properties page that I expected to be inherited by the devices. Nope. I converted codes from my CCFs to my PCF and found that if I learned them directly into my 3000, the target device responded more consistently.

If you can't learn codes, try putting both remotes on a towel/couch/etc and away from fluorescent or lights on dimmers. I had the same problem trying to learn codes on a veneer desk under dimmed lights. On a couch in indirect daylight, perfect. Six inches apart seemed to give the best result.
