Is the 6000 still a higher end unit ?
Or is the new 3000 software and hard buttons better.
Any on had both ?

the 6000 is still color, and has a higher price tag, so in that respect it is higher end. The 3000 is newer, so it does have some functions (such as hard buttons) that are lacking in the 6000.
