Looks like my backlight just went out. Anyone else have this problem? I moved around batteries, changed batteries, etc. to no avail.

I don't know if the 3000 is engineered the same, but I lost the backlight on my 2000. I took the screws out and looked around and found the switch flopping around loose inside the case. It was very obvious where it went, so I took a chance and soldered it back on. It works fine now. The switch controls the whole light circuit, so if that's the problem, the light won't work at all, not just when pressing the light button. It doesn't seem to be mounted that well. I used it for a year like that. It just got dropped, and now the light comes on, but nothing else works! The screen powers up, but it stays blank and appears to have some "bleeding" around the edges. Bummer. On to the 3000 I guess - or maybe the new Harmony (??)
