Does anyone have discreet on/off codes for a Denon 2800 DVD or a Mitsubishi Direct TV Hi Def Sat box. Or how about a work around for a all equip. on/off macro for each of these??

Did you try the codes in the file area?

I tried everything I could find. I have managed to get the DVD player to work by using play/1.5 sec delay/stop for on and play/ 1.5 sec delay/ off. But I still need to figure out how to get the sat reciever to always go on and always go off no matter whether it's on or off to start with.

Any ideas out there???

Randolla,

That is why some of us have resorted to designing Activity-based configs. Without all of the discrete codes available, building an Activity-based config (or at least one for some devices), may be the best route to take.

Mine works quite well and my wife finds it very easy to use. More work for you the designer, but less work and frustration for those who use it. My file is in the download files section.

Dave,
Thanks for the advice but I already have it set up so if anyone wants to watch hi def all they do is press one button. (I think that is what you mean by "activity based" correct me if I am wrong) but since we rent our house out and travel alot and have different house sitters, they often screw things up so I would like to set things up so one button turns everything off whether it was on or not. At this point the Mitsu sr hd5 hi def direct TV box is the only hangup.

That box never really turns off. It just disables the outputs (that's why it is still hot when it is turned off). You may as well leave it turned on 24/7.
