Hi,

I have just purchased a TSU7500, to use with a couple of different Sony DVD changers (a cx850 and cx875). From reading this thread I should be able to get your code working by changing the device.

correct?

Apologies in advance for being a total newbie.

If the disc loading sequence your changers use is different then yes, you will need to make the needed modifications to the setup page seen here. Just make sure to keep the pre and post macro buttons, and number buttons 0-9 in tact as they are what make up the 400 disc loading macros. Also, make sure to read over the last section of this post entitled, "DVD Juke (DLM)". It goes over all of this in more detail.

First off let me say, Lowpro, you're the man. I believe you helped me when I first got my Pronto, and I have come along way. I am still a little behind the times when it comes to creating my own buttons with Photoshop. But my DVD jukebox is something I am very proud of. I've always wanted to devote a whole day and completely revamp it using some of your templates as a staple. The only thing I need to know is (well for now at least) I don't have my DVD skins in alphabetical order, but I have considered it. I even think I originally started my profile that way, but stopped. The reason I stopped was because every time I added a new movie I have to push all the other movies in front of it ahead one slot. How do you do this, is there an easier way?
I love technology! I just need to figure out how to use it. Keeping up with it's growing rate is hard enough!

Unfortuantely there is no easier way tjlmbklr. To minimize the process as I have done make sure each letters worth of DVD cover images have their own set of pages. This provides for only having to jog one letters worth of DVD cover images down to add a given title, versus having to jog all DVD cover images down on all pages from that point down. Having something to use as a placement image as you jog covers down is also important, so that when you go from page to page in the remote the image placement remains consistent visually. If you go back in this thread a bit I touch on both of these things here.

I am either very retarded, or there is no PM function on this forum. I would bet its the former.:)

Anyway, lowpro, I have one of your old PCF that I used some things from. I only had one changer at the time so I removed the macros for the 2nd and 3rd changers. Now I want to put the 2nd set back in, and I can't get the macros back in.

1) How do I accomplish this?

2) Do you still happen to have the macros with just the changer controls without the wait screens and switch controls?

Thanks in advance.

All you need to do is copy and paste the device "DVD Juke (DVD01/DLM)" which is already part of your PCF, rename it to read DVD02, then make the appropriate edits to the action lists in the "IR Codes" and "Page Jumps" columns of the Setup page per your second changer. I'd also suggest downloading a fresh copy of my PCF and referring to it when needed. Anything you are still unclear about should easily be sorted out by taking a look at my PCF.

Lowpro,

I have a 9600, but it seemed appropriate to put this question in this thread. What do you do with all the DVD titles that start with "The"? Are you putting these under the letter "T" or are you going by the 1st letter of the next word? I got a 9600 a few weeks ago and after reading your posts regarding DVD jackets, I got myself a Sony jukebox. The word "The" in the titles is confusing me as to where to arrange the titles so that they are easy to find. You obviously have this well and hand, so I was wondering what has worked best for you?

Movies starting with The don't go under 'T' but rather on the first word of the title that is NOT an article. "The Matrix", for example goes under 'M'.

I would suggest MS Paint. Paint is not a very powerfull piece of software but what it can do it does fairly easily. I did this process on many DVD cover last night.

1) Open image into MS Paint (right mouse click>open with>Paint)
2) Image>Attributes Write down how width and height (in pixels) of your current image.
3) Image>Strech and Skew
4) Under strech, put in values less than 100%. You will have to do some basic math to figure out what percentage you need to reduce the image by. (i.e. 46%)
5) Save as

After that you should be just fine using this image on a button or pannel. I hope this helps. I found many of my cover images on Netflix that worked well.

Hi again, I can now easily convert an image into a 240 x 320 bitmap image, When I try to drag and drop into the open pronto NG gallery all I get is the message "ng does not recognize this file and cannot open it" I'm frustrated and I have been using the prontoTSU 1000 remote and software for years without problems.this is however, my first attempt at using my own images. How di I get them into NG?

1) First insert a button (if you want some sort of action) or a panel (if you only want to display the image).
2) A default button or panel should appear.
3) Double click it and then under the Appearance tab, click Insert.
4) Browse to where you saved your image and click Open.

That should be it.

For those that have inquired I've finally updated the links throughout this thread to point to the new web space I am using. All should be good to go now. Enjoy!
