I would have thought they'd fix the install problem. I still got the error message on an XP Pro system. The program works fine though.

Same error here. Doesn't seem to affect anything though.

That doesn't seem like much progress for 3 months, given the large number of bugs reported in this forum. I hope it's not a sign of things to (not) come.

The Pronto NG has so much potential as its a perfect stepping stone from the 1st generation B&W models but if Philips is going to make all the same mistakes AGAIN as it did with the original models then they deserve to be criticised AGAIN on this forum.
In my opinion, Stewart Allen's Tonto software has shown that the Pronto (and related models) can be supported well. I can't believe that Philips are dragging their heels with this - the Pronto depends on good software support and they appear to employ a very poor bunch of software engineers to write the editor applications. Amazing really, given Philips' market and size.
Come on Philips, get it sorted. Most of the bugs are just silly little things that COULD and SHOULD have been ironed out quickly, and it looks like you've fumbled the ball again. Once more, it seems Pronto owners are destined to be let down by the software support - shame, because the hardware is great.
Over to you, Stewart, any sign of TontoNG?? ;-)

I think they had to released this unfinished version (again) because the european Pronto NG is out, and they needed the Support for RU950 (European version).

WARNING!!
I updated mine and it deleted my pcf files. Most likely because I was storing them in the Philips directory. Don't be dumb like me and lose your configurations.

I'm not planning on adding NG support to Tonto. It's a totally different/incompatible platform with no docs in the public domain. There's no guarantee that I could reverse-engineering it. Even if I could a) it would take a lot of time and b) it would require me to buy an NG remote, which I don't need.

1.1 may be more buggy than 1.0
After upgrading, I could _not_ get one of the hard buttons to work with a learned ir code. I put 1.0 back and now all is well again.
Beware.

Rhubarb, check your directories again. I thought the upgrade had deleted my files, but it had not. The default directory for the TSU3000 files has changed. Go up one directory from the new NG 1.1 default TSU3000 directory and they should all be there! Robert
