I programmed a Dish Network 6000 HD receiver into a 3k and it is so slow that most of the times it doesn't even recognize the commands, icon nightmares, and so on. Is there a trick to avoid such problem?

Have you installed the firmware update? I use a Dish 6000 and a Dish 501 and have not had any problems as of yet. You might check my PCF's on the file area and see if my 6000 commands work for you. They are on address 1 while the 501 is on address 5.
I see you said UHF, actually you will be using the 6000's IRcodes to control your 6000 (the remote sends both IR and UHF out at the same time). The pronto does not do UHF.

That's correct, it is the 6000 which uses both UHF and IR, therefore I was wondering if I could just turn off the UHF???

I don't know of any way of turning the UHF portion of the remote off. It just sends both signals at the same time every time you press a button. When you learn the codes to the Pronto you will only be using the IR part.

Thanks, I'm installing the firmware (which I did not have on this one) and I'll let you know how it worked, Thanks again!
