I am getting the TSU 3000 and the Audio store selling it offers preprogramming for all you home components for $150.00. I'm beginning to think it might be worth it! They will include all necessary Macros for home theater/music/other house systems. What do you think??

I say BAH

Really it is a little work to learn but with p/ccf's on this site I bet you can program the thing just as good if not better than the store. Plus when you change equipment you know what you are doing so changing the remote is no big deal (and won't cost you another $150.00)

A standard config is really not that difficult. Look at Dale Crawfords easy theater, it is a good easy config to customize easily.

i agree with cooch, if you are already smart enough to know about this site, then you can probably program your own with no problem. i program hundreds of prontos a year for my customers and i easily charge more than $150.00, but they also benefit from the extremely large data base i have created over the past 3-4 years. Now on the other hand, if the store employee will actually come out to your house and program it for you then $150 would be a pretty good deal. Its fairly easy to build what i call a "pronto shell" (a term customers understand vs. ccf) offsite. The test is if all the digital delays are correct to turn on and off the appropriate equipment at the correct time, etc. There is always some in the field tweaking needed. I don't mind if my customers look over my shoulder when i build their pronto, the more they learn, the better customer they become and the more they appreciate you for letting them learn if they want to.

Yeah I'd definetly do it yourself, it may be hard to start with but you'll soon get the hang of it.

Plus I doubt that anyone can really programme the remote to exactly your requirements and have it looking exactly how you want it.
