I have been working for the past couple weekends creating submenus for my X-Files (Seasons 1-8) box sets. I still have some touchs here and there to add, but they are done for the most part.

Seasons 2-8 are actually in 16:9, so you will have to hold the remote on its side to browse through the pages. It's pretty cool though. I just turn the remote back upright after I find a disc I want to watch and then tap the screen as I just made each 240x320 pic a button.

Example pic of a 16x9 submenu in action:

My setup relys heavily on hard buttons as to maximize useable screen area for navigating my DVD collection. I have a device for the DVD lobby area, and in this case, a seperate device for each X-Files season. This way you stay self-contained within that season, unless you hit the hard button to take you back to the DVD cover page you originally jumped from in the DVD Lobby device. Both my DVD Lobby device and the X-Files devices use the same hard button setup basically.

I don't have enough room with my current webspace to upload the original pics for these X-Files box sets or I would. You can always just cut and paste though. Full size screenshots for all 8 seasons are below. :-)

X-Files Season One:

X-Files Season Two:

X-Files Season Three:

X-Files Season Four:

X-Files Season Five:

X-Files Season Six:

X-Files Season Seven:

X-Files Season Eight:

X-Files Season Nine:

(Latest edition ... the set is now complete!)

If you convert to greyscale they don't take up that much space. Until the TSU7000 supports all 32 megs I am just going black and white myself. That way I have a little room left for expansion, although it is not much at this point. Anyway, enjoy! :-) Just thought I'd share.

Lowpro,

Great work!

I am having a problem to which you may know the answer. My DVD Changer is a DVP-CX860. When I moved my ProntoPro 6000 CCF to my new 7000 only the discrete power on and power off seem to work, none of the other buttons do.

Which changer(s) do you use? Any ideas?

Thanks

I have the DVP-CX985V changers. Not sure what could be going on there with your changer. What have you tried so far? I have not had issues with the changers I use and the 7000. Works fine. Much better than with the TSU3000 on that latest firmware where I had to add a .1 second delay to all my codes just to get it to work.

Download my Sony DVD CCF from the Pronto Files section.

It contains codes for all 3 DVD command modes. The codes are "clean" and should work. For the 860, you will want to use Command Mode 1.

If the codes don't work on the 7000 (but they should as I have used the 7000), insert a 0.1s delay in front of the IR code in your Action List and go from there.
