I just recieved my 3000 tonight/yesterday from Surf remote control. Arived when I thought it would, was nicley packaged, and is working great. My question is the box for the Pronto itslef had the seal broken on it, I assume this was Surf's way to make sure everything was in there that was supposed to be, but has anyone else ever experienced this? Everything that was supposed to be inside was, and the pouch that the remote was in looked untoched, but it still unnerved me a bit.
Anyway, just thought I'd ask,
John

I bought from Surf and my package was the exact same. Seal was broken but the inside bas was sealed. I am betting Surf just checks them to be sure everything is there. Mike the owner visits these forums so I bet he will chime in eventually.

I wouldn't worry though Surf is a class act.

Same here, but my remote was from TechDepot. Mine also had the new firmware, so maybe it had something to do with that?

The firmware was probably new, because it was shipped that way from Philips.

However, there is one way to find out if the remote was switched or whatever.

Compare the SN number on the remote, to the one of the box.

I personaly haven't taken noticed when I looked at the 3000 a few days ago if the box had a sticker that has the SN number. However, most things like this does now adays. Including my tsu-2000. So I think it would be safe to assume that the 3000 does as well.
