I've got a Sony KV-32FS10 TV which can squeeze to 16x9 through a menu. Is there a discrete code for this? Otherwise it'll be menu..menu right (X3)..menu down (x5)..menu right..menu down..menu which seems a bit ridiculous for a macro.

I'm new to this (as Archer has experienced with several emails) but I have looked here and at prontoedit.com for at least a .ccf file for the FS series TVs.

Thanks!

You might try the files section for the other Prontos, it has some discretes for Sony screens. The wide zoom works on my Sony....

The macro should work fine. That's one nice thing about Sony's Menu, it always come's to the first menu item instead of the last one you used like some TV's. When it does that macros are very hard to do.

There's format codes posted in the discrete codes section of the Pronto file area. If they don't work, nothing will besides a macro.

I used to do this with that kind of macro and TSU1000. Now it doesn't work on TSU3000 -- see my post ([Link: remotecentral.com]).

Chill,

I suggest you get hold of a program called IRTool (download from [Link: home.hccnet.nl]). Then grab one of the codes from this site ([Link: remotecentral.com]) and paste it into IRTool, the click Decode Hex. You will see how it fills "Device" and "Command", among other fields. After that, enter numbers from the URL in question ([Link: anycities.com]) into the Device and Command fields and click "Encode Hex". Voila -- you have the Pronto Version of the code.

I am assuming that the tool your are refering to is the
PRONTOIRDA which doesn't run on Win2K. I will give it a try anyway. Thanks.

The IRTool is part of PRONTOIRDA package and does run on Win2K.
