I am sorta new to the NG software. I want to set up my 3000 with channel icons, you know like cbs, nbc, the Mtv logo. I found some in the download area, and imported them into the bitmaps part of the NG software. So can I use these new bitmap images as buttons, if so how??? The help file talks about dragging and dropping into the remote "page", but this does not work. What am I missing??? Can a bit map be used as a button??? Am I way off in thinking I can have channel icons displayed on the 3000??? Any help would be great. Thanks. Jeff.

Does anyone know how to export a BMP from a PCF file and modify it?

Export is easy.
A pcf is just a icognito .zip You can rename a pcf to a .zip and open it with winzip or similar. Each bmp is in the zip file so just find the one you want and edit it in photoshop etc.
Archer has a good document on making buttons that is a big help.

Make a copy of you PCF that you rename to a zip file so you don't have to rename the zip file back to a PCF. Also while I'm on the copies subject, ALWAYS make copies of your PCF such "myfile V1.pcf" then the next copy as "myfile V2.pcf" and so on. That way if you run into problems you can always go back to an earlier version that is error free.
