Just an fyi, if you ever experience this problem. I've been uploading various configurations to my 3000 and usually after about 10 uploads or so, my computer (xp pro) can no longer locate the remote. Even after a couple of restarts, plugging and unplugging, it can't find it.
The solution is to just reset your 3000. Maybe this was obvious, but after being frustrated wondering what was wrong with the cable, this solved the problem. Just trying to save somebody some time.

When I had this problem I assumed that my batteries were getting low and recharged them, which always worked. I guess replacing them may be equivalent to a reset. The reset sounds easier! Thanks. Barry
