I'm picking up my TSU3000 tomorrow and I can't even get the prontoedit software to download without an "internal error" message comming up and then prontoedit says it was not installed correctly and to try again. I tried removal, install, repair and it comes up the same. I downloaded first from the Philips site then here and get the error on both. What's happening? It goes so slow the way it is now, especially getting the emulator to come up, and none of the buttons beep.
Am I going to have a lot of trouble transfering my 2000 ccf's to my 3000pcf's. Will I have to import every single ccf I download from remote central instead of just clicking on my downloaded ccf and having the prontoedit open automatically?
But again, most important, how do I get the software downloaded without the error? Oh my God..help...lol

Just restart the PC after the message. Everything will be OK. You can use the program. This is a Windows Installer Bug.

You can read more about the installation error here...

The PENG software is just slower than PE4. With a large PCF (800K) it takes PENG around 16 seconds to open on my computer and the simulator takes 45 seconds. This is on a computor with 2 gig processor and 768 of memory.

As for the buttons beeping, I can't hear those type of sounds so I'm no help there.

You can open PENG and import your old CCF file. Most of it should be intact. Some graphics may not import right and some IR codes may not work (you will have to relearn those), also some macros may be missing. If you used "groups" in your CCF then you may have problems with the PCF because it doesn't seem to like groups, makes it lock up. Once you import your CCF and it converts to a PCF then you can click on it just like you did with your CCF.

Hope this helps,
Archer
