I am having such a tough time trying to get my graphics to convert to 1,4,or 8 bit like the book said but my programs only are allowing me to save as a 24bit. Looking at the layouts from some of the other guys it seems as though you can load some pretty extensive graphics into the Pronto. Would someone please tell me how!!!!

Check your mail...I just sent you a word doc on "How I Make a Button". It tells what programs I use and how I use them to make the buttons on my PCF's.

These directions are for making a 16 shade grey palette bitmap for the Pronto 3000. I see you have a 6000 which is color 256 palette, so you might want to post this question in the other Pronto forum also.

Also check the files area in the Pronto section as it has some how to's there and also Q&A section might provide some insight.

Hey Archer,

I'd love to see your techniques for making buttons, too. I tried to make some buttons for my 2000 with Canvas 7SE (I also have Photoshop Elements), but gave up after I couldn't figure out how to start.

Thanks,
Al Shih

@ Archer :

First, I’d like to thank you a lot for your “Blizzard PCF” ! It looks really great, and it’s also very interesting too see what’s possible with the 3000 !

For my own configuration, I borrowed some of your buttons... I changed some with Corel Photo Paint... however I’m also pretty interested to know your information about “How I Make a Button" !.

So, if you have 5 minutes left to send this doc to

[email protected]

I’ll be really happy !!

Many Thanks in advance !!

G'mornin' Archer!

Can i get a copy of that file? If i could also get a copy of the midnight and blizzard pcf that would be fantastic!

Thanks much!
