Who is selling the TSU3000 first? No one seems to be even pre-ordering this thing. Very frustrating.

Can anyone shed some light here?

Thanks,

They are supposedly shipping a few to some of the B&M retailers within a week, but you'll probably pay list price ($400) from them. Until Philips provides their distributors with release information and pricing, any pre-order would be for list price. Expect to see more action in mid-January, after CES.

Don't mind paying list price. What is a B&M retailer and how do I get hold of them?

Thanks,

B&M stands for "brick and mortar", referring to a physical store location rather than an internet retailer (although it could be both ;-) ). Search on www.philips.com for a retailer near you, and call them up. Good luck!

Thanks willy. I'll be at the Philips press conference at CES on Jan. 8, so I hope to have more info by then if not before.

I was going to start my own "when can I get it?" thread, but I saw so many others of the like.

My wife just bought me a Sony RC3000 for christmas.. "But why settle for something mid range," I always ask myself..

I don't see a point in buying the TSU2000 at this juncture. So how long am I going to be in agony while I await the TSU3000?

Is it also called Pronto NG? Or is that just the software?

It's ProntoEdit NG ("Next Generation"), so I've applied the "NG" to the Pronto moniker since there will most likely be a number of models based on the same format.

They actually call it a "Pronto II" in internal references.

Daniel, speaking of CES, any chance you'd let someone buy you a beer or such as thanks for running this site? I'm an LV Local :-) Of course, my SO might blame you for some of my antics, but I'll try to avoid that :-)

The Prontoedit emulator window shows up in the taskbar labelled "ProntoII Simulator"

So is anyone actually going to make a post telling people where they can get the TSU3000 or what ?
10 replies to this post so far and still no information as to where they can be purchased.

NO, we're keeping it a secret! ;-)

I think if anyone knew of any place that had them yet, you'd be hearing about it here. Fact is, nobody's got them yet.
