I'm a new TSU3000 owner and trying to establish a configuration for my HT's Sony 555ES CD changer. I found a Sony Codeset that works with ON/OFF/PLAY/STOP/etc., but since the CD remote is very complex, most other commands are not available. In trying to establish a minimal config. I'd like to be able to select track & disc #. Surprisingly the Codeset has no IR codes for the digits: 0, 1, 2, etc. So I proceeded to learn these IR commands & all worked great except after at least 20 attempts, the TSU3000 will not learn an operable "1" command. (All other digits work fine) The TSU3000 beeps that it has learned but the "1" button never works. I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, chasby

In my experience programming sony cd player remotes is notoriously difficult and frustrating, some buttons work and others do not even though your learn each one the same way. You will have to try pressing the original remote button for different lengths of time. Somtimes just a quick press will be enough to learn the codes. Also, different distances between the remotes can sometimes help. I have a .ccf for the Sony 400 disc changers, don't know if they are the same codes, if you want it leave your email address in this thread and I'll send it. jcl

I have the same problem with a Sony receiver. Learning was a breeze for that (and my Sony TV), except the '1' button doesn't work. When I get a round-TUIT I'm going to decipher the codes. Since I've got 9 other digits to look at, I suspect that the pattern will be fairly obvious for what the '1' should be.
BTW, I also had problems with my Toshiba DVD. It learned everything, but the zoom buttons it learned as repeated commands instead of just one instance. (There again, I hope to correct that manually after a decipher.)
I'll post again if I figure it out. Barry

I have solved the "1" button problem in a round-about way!!! My 3-months old Anthem AVM-20's remote has a universal remote capability which I previously set-up to control the Sony M555ES changer. I tried learning the TSU3000's "1" button from the AVM-20's remote and it worked perfectly the first time!! (Not very scientifically satisfying but it worked.) Chasby

The way I configure my .pcf, is that I don't use any built-in settings. It's too confusing and a pain. All the settings are based upon learned actions. It's much faster this way to point your remote at the 3000 and just have it learn.
