The problem is that there is no interface to teach RF.

Basically Pronto in RF mode sends RF to the RF Extender which then outputs the IR that corresponds to the button you pressed.

I have, however, communicated with ATI to try and get some detail on the RF codeset of the RW to see if somehow the Pronto could emulate the RW completely. (not bothering to hold my breath though)

But I guess that would take RF editing/learning on the Pronto end...and it ain't there.

Hi thanks for checking with ATI - The reason I thought it might work is I use the pronto with X10 RF and it works great useing the codegen to generate the IR codes - I Guess without ATI's help there is know way of working out the RF codes (((

It's theoretically possible, if someone can figure out the details and they're compatible.

I believe the ATI RemoteWonder is the same as the X-10 UR89 (called Lola in N. America) and UR86E in Europe.

In any event, it's a simple matter to learn the codes from the 433.92MHz RF version. See...

Thanks Dave, some great ideas. But the remote wonder doesn't seem to light up my RCA Model D930 Wireless Receiver/IR Emitter. It doesn't The reception RF center frequency for the D930 is not listed on the cone. However, the D930 works great with all of my other IR equipment with the 7000 set to RF. Do you think the remote wonder is at a different RF frequency such that the D930 is out of band?

By 7000, I assume you mean TSU7000 which uses 418MHz (as detailed in the appnotes referenced earlier). Almost all of the RF extenders sold in N. America also use 418MHz.

X-10 uses 310MHz for all of its remotes in N. America. The N. America version of the RemoteWonder probably uses 310MHz also. (I think it's made by X-10.)

If you will provide the FCC number on the RemoteWonder, we can look it up on the FCC Search page and make certain of the RF frequency.

Need to clear up are we talking about a RU950 or a TSU7000! The RF transmitted is different.

What is the FCC ID?

If the N. American version of the RemoteWonder uses 433.92MHz (which is legal in the US but not Canada), the new battery powered version of the European Powermid will work with it for those who need an extender.

The easiest way to get the codes would be for someone in Europe to learn them either from a Powermid or from the Philips extender.

(I would be surprised if a Canadian company like ATI made something that was illegal in Canada.)
