I've been trying to learn or program an RF remote (Bose Lifestyle 12) into the 3k, It doesn't work???

No. There is no way since the RF capabilities of the pronto remotes are only for the Philips RF station. If you want to use your pronto with the Bose LF 12 you will have to buy a IR-RF converter for Bose. Like this one here:

I think the 1024 doesn't work with the LF12. I have another model that works with a LF8 II and should work with yours.

You can email David Banks at AudioAuthority and ask him, they don't advertise it in their site but they have a solution for the LF12 and others.
