My TSU3000 is randomly crashing when executing macros as well as when various hard keys are depressed. The remote simply resets (as opposed to reverting). Note that the problem happens sporadically, but is usually persistent for a short duration (all macros reset every time, and then all of a sudden they don't- with seemingly no clear way to isolate a root of the problem)
Secondly, in PENG, The emulator does not seem to run in my machine past two or three button presses (it freezes). I have the same problem with ProntoEdit, though it only happens when trying to execute macros. I’m not really pressed about not using the emulator (I’m used to it by now) but I’m wondering if it’s indicative of some other problem.
I'm running XP with plenty of speed and RAM, so I'm not sure if I've got some strange .dll issue or what. Not sure if this problem is carrying over into the TSU3000 and subsequently, the reason for it resetting when executing macros.

For the emulator freezing in ProntoEdit, check this link.. [Link: remotecentral.com]In my experience with the emulator in PENG, it seems to work fine with a PCF that was created with PENG, if it is a PCF that was converted from a CCF them I have the freezing problems. Archer

I had this problem last night and it turned out that even though the battery meter showed one segment remaining, the remote would reset during macro execution. Try new batteries.

I can confirm that changing batteries will stop the resets, it did for me.

I am having a similar problem, but instead of reseting, the macro just hangs. The remote is locked, but the ir indicator keeps flashing. The only way to fix it is to reset or pull batteries. I have had my remote now for 3 days, and it has happened 4 times.

This lockup can happen if you have a faulty IR code. It may be dirty enought that it works sometimes correctly but other times locks the remote. Can you trace it down to which button might be causing the lockup? And as I've asked other people, send me a copy of the PCF and I'll look it over. Archer [email protected]
