Anyone emulated the Tivo remote on a 3000 yet? It's because it has (nearly) enough hard buttons to do this sensibly that I chose a 3000.

I plan to put forward, slow, play, rewind on the four hard buttons under the screen (when the outer pair are enabled) and the cursor pad on the four-way switch.

That doesn't leave anywhere for Pause. I plan to put it on mute, because psychologically muting an LP and pausing a Tivo are much the same thing.

Any other layouts?

Mine is very different. I use the arrows for arrows, the check for select, surf for 30 sec skip cursor from play, and rr & ff on the "underscreen" buttons (remember only 2 are programable at this point).
