I picked up a Pronto the day after Thanksgiving, and have been having a blast customizing & programming. One question...how do I delete unused templates from a particular device. For example, I only need four of the eight screens available for a VCR--I hate having to scroll through the ones I don't need. I can't find any help in the documentation. Am I missing something?

Eric,

Simply delete all the buttons on the panels you don't want to use.

I think there are basically two ways to do it.

One way would be to take your device, learn all
the buttons from it's remote, and go in and
hand delete all buttons you are not using on
all pages. The pages where all buttons are
deleted will not show up in the 'scroll' for
that device.

A better way, is as follows: say for example
you want to set up your VCR remote. First
delete the device 'VCR'. Then add a new device,
'VCR' and at the prompts select 'create new device' and 'do not copy RC codes'. Now
when you go back to 'device menu' and select
VCR, all pages are blank. BUT, when you enter
'learn' mode, all pages and keys available to
program come up. As you program keys, they become
highlited.

After you've saved and gotten back into 'use' mode to test you're device, all unused pages and
keys are gone. This eliminates a ton of key-
deleting after the fact, compared to editing
an existing device page layout.

I've done this 'delete/add device' for each component programmed into the Pronto.
