Seeing that you had a little opportunity to handle both remotes do you have a preference? I would like to discuss the pluses and minuses of the remotes with you. Can you e-mail or post your business number for future contact?

Warren,

My experience of the RC2000, MKII, HK, and Pronto is that the Pronto is the clear winner. Perhaps the most expensive but well worth the cost. The Icons are clearly readable at 24-30" distance, the backlight is perfect for darker lighting conditions. The only drawbacks at the moment are the short supply, and the unavailable PC software, both of which will change. The supply will open up sometime 1st quarter next year, and the software is in process, probably available sometime in January I would guess. In the meantime, for the typical user, the software really shouldn't be an issue as it is a learner and once taught, has perfect memory retention. I envision the software to be rolled out in stages, first the basics, then perhaps some fairly elaborate tweaks, perhaps like mapable, importable icons for example. It is a microprocessor and is a bit mapped LCD display, so there are many possibilities.
My business number is 312-781-0051 (Chicago)

Do you accept phone orders and do you ship to Canada?

Well I'm in the UK and ordered one from him by phone, so I would guess the answer is yes to both of those.

Tim.
