Does anyone know if the pronto will work with the sony STRDA-30es receiver? The only concern that I have is that I thought I remember reading somehwere here that ANY sony ES product has to use its own remote... Is that true?

Why I ask is becuase I was thining of getting the Sony de-925... But Im thinking I might want the S video inputs, which the 30es would have....

Thanks for your time.

Nope, Sony ES receivers are easy to learn - it's the VisionTouch remotes you can't learn. Those models are usually distinguished by ending with a "G", ie. 90ESG or 1015G.

I've got the 90ESG, and the range on it just plain stinks. Is there no solution?
