Good idea, Cary. 10 buttons for the numbers, and 6 for pre and post 1, 2 and 3 digit codes, if needed.

Could even put them on a hidden panel behind the first set of buttons/frames.

Hmmm... How to handle an index? I can see two ways of doing it. One is sorting by title, and having a-z indexes, and the other is to have another column in the CSV file.

Wow, busy day for files today 2/27. Daniel has added the trivia game and the tic-tac-toe game under design elements. Please run thru these and let me know of any problems. I bet we see variations on the trivia game, maybe more questions, graphics, etc. I wanted to keep it small memory-wise.

I suppose eventually I'll need to add a "Fun & Games" file section!

Never mind "eventually"; change that to "just did". Cary's latest files are available in the "Fun & Games" file section; right below "Design Elements".

Should I say I'm sorry about the extra work! ;-)

Have you had a chance to try out the trivia, Daniel? Was this something close to what you had in mind?

Should the space stuff be there too? Just assuming so because the backgrounds kinda make the screens a bit more "fun".

George F. created a 3-disc towers of hanoi ccf, modeled after the tic-tac-toe look. He will be submitting this pretty soon.

If we had some rudimentary programming available (flags, if-then-else), there could be alot more games available, not to mention the discrete code workarounds that could be created.

I know -- I was thinking of a couple simple games tonight, but they really need some flags. Ideally, a variable or two. :)

I just uploaded another game ccf, Jugs. It's based on an old logic puzzle. Check it out...

The new colour pronto is supposed to be released later this year or early next, it was at the CeBit thing, and priced at about $699 or $799, a bit expensive for a remote really. But it could be worth it

Color Pronto sounds great! What did you see at CeBit - is it in production yet? Did it look cool?!?

Daniel did a review of it with pics. Look in the Features area of the site.

No, sorry -- there wasn't one at CES, just talk. The photo you see isn't of the proto, but of a HUGE display Pronto with a TV set for a display. Look at the bottom of the shot, you'll see the real remote.

I just uploaded a little tile placement game, tetraplex.

Off Topic: Carry, your home email address won't work, at least according to netzero's mailer deamon.

My last CCF upload has a scrabble score history sheet... not exactly the most innovative use of the Pronto, but it takes up suprisingly little memory.

I think I found a good one for converstion -- it's called "Shoot Star" and is done with a 3x3 grid of pegs. You start with one peg in the middle, the goal is to have pegs all around the outside (but not he middle). Each time you click on a peg the area around it changes -- "holes" become "stars" and vice versa. Might take a fair number of pages, but is still quite limited design-wise.

I've got a whole load of ooooooold Windows shareware games here. :-)

Sounds like "Lights Out", Daniel.
