The AVR3300 has a button on the main panel which dims the LED's. However, it doesn't exist on the remote!!!

Anyone know if there's a hidden discrete code to do this?

Try looking for a CCF file that lists another DENON Receiver such as the AVR3200 (Which does contain this button on the remote). It will probably be the same code.

I've got a 3200. Here's the code for my dimmer.

Sorry. That didn't work as well as I'd hoped. Let's try it again.

Hey! Thanks for the code...I'll try it.

Michael,
There are discrete codes for on, off. However, the remote actually has separate on/off buttons, so you can simply learn them! Shweet!

Now what I need are the discrete codes to set the surround mode. It's a looping knob function.

Would you mind posting the discrete power codes? I wonder if they might work on my 3200...

I have tried the 3300 commands on avr-1600, 3200, 2800 and 2000 and didn't work. Sorry. I was as upset as you probly are at this moment.

Brandon, Michael, Mitch,

back in time, did you find the discrete codes for the Denon AVR3300 ? My remote broke, and I need to program them myself. However, Raj's jan05.CCF file has all wrong codes in it... any hint where I can find the Power On / Power Off commands ?

Rgds,
Bart
Best regards,

Download the CCF/Excel package from this site for the Denon 5803 it should have enough to get you going.

[Link: files.remotecentral.com]

Denon has discrete power codes and discrete settings for most IR stuff. If you give Denon a ring in Mahwah NJ, they will likely email you a spreadsheet with all the codes for the newer receivers.
