I don't own a Pronto but I've been wanting to for quite sometime. I believe I have found the best deal on the Pronto. $300 for the Pronto, dock and shipping included.

There is a new rebate site called Brands For Less (http://brandsforless.com). I just chatted with their customer service and verified the following rebates can be applied to the same order:

First time orders get 10% off. Link at: [Link: brandsforless.com]

$25 off $50 dollar rebate. Link at: [Link: brandsforless.com]

Free shipping on orders over $25. Link at: [Link: brandsforless.com]

Purchase the Pronto at J&R's $299.99 price and it works out to be $244.99 final.

Place another order for the docking station and apply the free shipping to this order and the following $25 for $50 rebate. The final price for the dock is $54.99.

Rebate link at: [Link: brandsforless.com].

I have not actually done this but I will.

One last thought, www.controlyourhome.com has the Pronto & Dock for $329. If you can get J&R to match the price then your final cost would probably be around $271 if BFL sees the price discount. If the order is shipped and you can get J&R to credit your card after the order then I figure it would be initial price $380.00 - $80 (10%/$25/$25)rebates - $51 after order credit = $249 for Pronto & Dock with free shipping.

Hope this helps out.

Wow - that was a lot of information to comprehend. I must admit, I'm a little confused by it all. Am I alone, or are there others out there just as baffled?

Would it be possible for someone to make this a little more clear?

Wow! I get it! It's actually pretty simple. I think it might work to.

Stongm: I don't think I can explain it any better. Just read it carefully.

I guess I just order it online, then after it ships, call JR and complain that you found it for less. I am sure that JR would rather credit the difference then return the whole order. I am gona call right now and see if they match that site.

Yes, you can get the Pronto with docking station for a final price $271. I ordered my Pronto combo from J&R through Brandsforless.com. I had J&R match Controlyourhome.com's price of $329. J&R tacked on $16 for shipping for a grand total $345 charged to my credit card. Now the fun part, take advantage of brandsforless.com multiple rebates. First, the "10% First time buyer" rebate ($345-$33 = $312). Then, use the "$25 rebate over $50" ($312-$25 = $287). Finally, the free shipping rebate ($287-$16 = $271). I have not received my rebates yet but Brandsforless.com acknowledged my request for the rebates. For this to work, you MUST order from J&R through brandsforless.com.

I hope this all works, because I also ordered the Pronto from BFL last night.

Thanks Jody for the information, you have helped to make this remote a lot more affordable for a lot of us.

BTW, there are people on Ebay that are selling these with starting bids as low as $230 (No Reserve) and no one has bid as of yet. I emailed two of these people and only received a response from one and then I had to re-email him 2 more times and he still did not answer all my questions. He kept avoiding the question regarding if these are "b" stock, gray market items, or refurbished. He not even sign the email with his name. I would advise anyone to stay clear of anyone selling these on Ebay unless you know it's a reputable dealer.

Best Regards,
Don

I would be interested to know, exactly, how one gets J&R to match ControlYourHome.com's price and still have the transaction be through BFL. The Pronto/Charger combo doesn't appear on the J&R website as a single item, nor does any price-matching information that I can see. How did you do it, Raymond?

Ditto to Doug's request. I cannot figure now to get Price Matching through a BFL order. Please post details.

Thanks

Place your order online and make sure you include your price match request in the comment box of the J&R's online ordering form. Then wait for a couple of hours and give J&R a follow up phone call. Verify that they matched controlyourhome.com's price. When you get your approval, go to BFL and request for the multiple rebates.

I placed order online on Sunday. I place 2 seperate orders to get everything for less. I just called J&R today to mention that controlyourhome.com has combo for less. The matched the price and credited my card the difference. Now the question is: Will BFL send my rebates and will they see the retail purchase price or will they see that I got some credited back?

Hmmm...If I do end up getting combo for $250, that is a sweat deal.

Derick,

Did J&R say how long it will take to ship?

Well, they said it would ship out Monday or Tuesday. I chose standerd UPS ground, so maybe Friday(if I'm lucky) or Monday I will have it.

Just to let everyone know, I also did the BFL thing without a hitch apparently: ordered the remote and charger as separate items, then called J&R and, after a short on-hold, they price matched the $329-for-the-combo price of controlyourhome.com with no problem. Now just have to wait for the Pronto (and the BFL rebates!)
