That's the question. And of course anybody else who could help... in the end this is for all of us. Found IR command sets in a pdf for Yamaha RX-V6 products; could really use them in Pronto Hex. Thanks. [Link: remotecentral.com]

I have been working with a program called IrScrutinizer for some time. It can import sets of IR signals in several different formats, and translate them to most of the popular formats. The problem is that the input must be in a structured, machine readable format, for example CSV, or text with some structure. The problem with your PDF files that you referred to in the other post is that there is basically no way to systematically extract information from it. If you copy it to the clipboard and paste to a text editor you get the words in, essentially, random order. It is surely possible, with considerable manual effort, to enter the data into, for example, Excel. But it is not really that different from typing in the whole thing again. Note that the PDF format (at least as I see it) is a format that is intended to discourage further processing of the content... Of course, it may be possible to run the file through an OCR processor...
Do you have any other suggestions?

Ernie, Go to this site and plugin the values from the PDF. For example: 7F01-5E20 FYI, there was a Yamaha RXV1 or RXV800 CCF/Spreadsheet in the files section that has all the standard/extended codes for Yamaha Receivers. But from the PDF, it looks like they may have extended their format slightly to include more codes.
