Just wondering. Over the decades the RC5200 seems to have been a good idea but as far as brightness, not well executed.

How can I make the RC5200 brighter? I could use a couple of them if the brightness can be fixed.

Been wondering this sort of idly for a decade or more.

thanks for any input you've got.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I think it had a contrast wheel on the side if I remember correctly. My thoughts are that the only way to make brighter would be to replace the LED backlight behind the display.

The possible contrast of the B&W LCD itself appears to deteriorate rapidly with age, and the EL backlight will do the same with age and usage. I'm not sure there's anything you can do beyond creating an electrical hacking project to add brighter LED backlighting.
