Just reloaded XP after the computer crashed, reloaded ver 2.0.4 s/w. Trying to upload to the touch screen setup program so I can modify. S/w appears to try to upload by failed. Getting an error message 'error uploading configuration from RC device'. Has been a while since I try to use the setup program. Read the manual but it was no help. Any idea what I did incorrectly?

Wondering if anyone knows what is the com port setting just incase mine is set incorrectly.

thanks for your help.

Start with FAQ B3-01 here and read through the B3 section.

The COM ports on your computer must not have gaps. Meaning you can't have COM1 and COM3 but skip COM2.

If 2.0.4 s/w is the latest, make sure you also have the corresponding firmware on your remote. There is a menu option in the software to load the firmware onto the unit.

Update.

Ernie Gilman reached out to me on this. I want to amend my statement to say that the Pronto must be the first discovered device and that gaps don't always cause issues.

Consider that you have a mouse on COM1 and the Pronto on COM2. The software sometimes misidentifies the mouse and fails. If you switch them around such that mouse is on COM2 and Pronto is on COM1, it will work fine.
