Have run out of digital inputs on my Yamaha 2400 4 digital inputs.
I'm trying to set this up on my Pronto 960 remote

Sky HD on toshlink >TV SAT
Cubox on toshlink >DVR
WD Hub on toshlink>DVD
Dreambox on toshlink >CD

and NOW a
Squeezbox > on phono CD Analogue

I'm having problems switch between digital CD and analogue CD via "input" on the YAM 2400 using the pronto.

All working but can't get the pronto to handle it.

Any thoughts welcome
All the best

As I recall, you can scroll between input type (analog/digital/auto) with successive presses of the input button or IR commands. You'll have issues if the input is on "auto" because the 2400 will prefer the active digital input. If the digital input is not always active or always inactive, you will not be able to guarantee which input will actually be used by simply issuing the input command -- successive input commands may be required. If your program never allows the unit to stay in "auto" mode, you might be able to work out a sequence of CD, CD-CD, CD-CD-CD, etc. (for example) commands that will end up using the desired source. (or you could go insane trying)

If you are comfortable with macros, you can use the following IR codes to directly switch digital or analog:

Digital: 900A 006D 0000 0001 7E81 A956

Analog: 900A 006D 0000 0001 7E81 AA55

Thanks for that.

I managed to get Analog: 900A 006D 0000 0001 7E81 AA55 working/switching with the music on macro but no luck with Digital, it will not switch back to digital for me. What I've done is to just turn off the amp with a music off macro.

Then turn digital 'on' with a TV etc on macro(s).

My problem now is the pronto 960 is not charging properly!
I had our lounge decorated and the pronto and charger were switched off for 3 weeks. since it will not charge.....grr

The 960 charges okish "2 bars" on my TSU7000 charger but not on the original base AND the 7000 charges on 960 base....go figure lol.

My worry is if I finally have to replace the pronto (s) 7000 and 960, I love them and know of no real alternative.
All the best
