I am trying to generate a ccf using the output file from Makehex. From what I have been able to gather, I should be able to use IRPanels to do this. However, when I unzip the IRPanels download from the Files area I get a bunch of files in which the third letter of the file extension is replaced with an underscore character. Can anyone point me to a clean download of IRPanels?

Let me suggest that you try IrScrutinizer [Link: harctoolbox.org] instead of these two 10 years (?) old, quite primitive programs. Fill in the Generate pane with the protocol and parameters of your choice (you can use * for all values), go to the Export pane, select ProntoClassic as Export Format, select parameters of your liking (or leave the defaults), press "Export generated".

Thanks! I may give it a shot. However, I was able to get Hex2ccf to work, so I might not need anything else. IrScrutinizer looks quite impressive. I may explore it as an intellectual exercise.

I've used IrScrutinizer to generate complete code ccfs for my Denon receiver. Impressive! Much better than using IRTool, Makehex, and Hex2ccf/IRPanels. Thanks for your help.
