Hi All

Ive been directed here as everyone says your the best around for solving my problem!

I have just purchased a Marantz RC5000i remote (I know im sooo old skool)

But im having problems setting it up!

First I had no serial port reading on device manager so I turned that on (I think)

Then after downloading set up v2.3.1 I try to upload from rc device I get the message RC device is not connected or not responding. Under details it says

COM1: opened but no response from RC device
COM2 the same

I have tried to reset the handset on the back but it doesnt seem to want to go back to the original screen and comes up with Marantz 5000 then goes straight to TV control after hearing 2 beeps!

All the controls are set to user specific devices ie sony/sky digital/denon etc

PLEASE HELP??????

Where do I start? and im not very computer literate

Thanks

Maybe old skool but still VERY useable!

Read the FAQ section, it is excellent! and may help.
