Remote will not power up. Removed batteries for a few days. Installed batteries and got a single beep, but the remote will not reboot. Will not connect to the PC. Does anyone have a solution or is there no solution? Thank you!

Did you try the hyperterminal procedures listed in the FAQ? Also, you can try the 'Undead' function of 'Tonto' (Java-equivalent of the ProntoEdit software) from [Link: giantlaser.com]

Single beep sounds like the normal boot beep. Are you sure the screen's contrast wheel is adjusted correctly? Otherwise, it could simply be a dead screen.
