Hi All,
Where can I find detailed instructions on how to use Marantz Touch Screen setup?
I've been using this app for sometime now to good effect - creating buttons, programming etc. but just now, I need to enter an RC code directly. I usually just learn the code from another remote, but not this time. Without clear instructions I'm stuck. The Help button within the app just takes me to "Marantz on the web" and I cannot for the life of me find any links to the user notes. All I know (I'm guessing) is that I must use the "set IR" button then the "advanced" button which brings up the "Define RC5/6" dialogue box. I'd really appreciate it if someone could give me clear, step by step instructions as to how to enter a code manually. Thanks.

If that does not help, what is the Hex Code or RC Type you are trying to enter?

Posting the info will help!

Cheers
Jason

The codes I need were supposed to be sent to me today by Email, but they haven't arrived yet. Whilst I'm waiting it would have been nice to do some preparation by reading the "Touchscreen setup manual" - but it seems there isn't such a thing?

You can read The Unofficial Pronto/RC5000 FAQ which applies to Marantz as well.

Which Model do you have?

What are the Codes for?

I might have them or know were you can find them.

You can also download and use any CCF File from the Files Section.

Go to the Files Section and download Pronto INI Workshop. This will allow you to setup what is known as 'Developer' mode in TSS. If you need more info, search for Developer Mode...

Thanks Jason/Lyndel. I appreciate your attempts to help me! I've been using Marantz RC5000i for years and am fully familiar with all the ccf files/codes available here, and have assembled several ccfs myself. I'm currently using a Marantz RC9200. The codes I'm in the process of aquiring are an alternative volume set (NOT the standard ones) for a Linn Klimax Kontrol stereo preamp. If you have these I'll be impressed, but as I say I know a bloke who does! I'm guessing he's having trouble locating where they're kept on his PC. It's the "raw" code entry method I need more info for. Once again, there must be a user manual for Touch screen setup - mustn't there ?!!

To enter RC5 Codes,

Volume Up
1.) Double Click on Button to reveal "Button Properties" Window.
2.) Select Set IR and the Advanced Button.
3.) Select RC5 and enter,
System 19
Command 16
4.) Select OK, OK, OK.

Volume Down
Repeat 1 & 2
3.) Select RC5 and enter,
System 19
Command 17
4.) Select OK, OK, OK.

If those don`t work try a different System Number i.e.17, 18, 20, etc.(System 16 is Default). The Command Number should be the same.

Cheers
Jason

Take a look on the Marrantz website here

[Link: marantz.com]

There is an "Owners Manual" PDF, which I think is for using the remote itself and If I remember correctly the user guide for Touch Screen Setup was part of the help file in the program itself.

The closest thing you will find for a user's guide is of course the Help file and the ProntoEdit 4 manual available in the files section. PE4 is the version of the editor that support Philips remotes but the concepts there still apply.

As I stated, you will need to enable 'Developer' mode, IIRC, to be able to see the IR code data.
