i have a pronto 100 very old but not used every day since it is in my movie room. all of a suden the backlight is not coming on when i touch the screen or press the button on the side of the unit. Is there a setting I might have accidnetly hit to turn it off. or ifthe light is shot can it be replaced? dont really want to start all over setting up a new remote if can help it Thanks Bob

You mean a TSU1000? Search for L1 coil since dawn of time.

Check the contrast wheel to make sure it's not that. If the screen buttons still work, and it's just the backlight, then the L1 inductor is the likely cause - pretty simple fix.

Buttons still work so it must be the L1 inductor you guys are talking about. is therea site to download scematics for those of us that havent opened on eof these babies up? thanks

Look here: [Link: joey6p.com]. The "instructions" are links to photos. Pay special attention to where the screws are for the case. You'll have to research what size inductor to use and where to get it - do a forum search on L1 inductor.
