Well I just picked up the DTV HR21 and I was not able to find and files on the site for a pronto pro. So, I made my own buttons and used the learn function. Then when I tried to upload it to my computer to save it and use with Pronto Edit 4 I get the subject line prompt. I've never had this problem before and did run a search but don't see anything that applies to my specific problem.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Or, I see the HR21 files for the 9400 in xcf format. Is it possible to do a xcf -> ccf covert? I ran search and nothing so something tells me no.

No!

You can open it with PEP1.1 for the TSU9400 and copy the Hex Codes.

Edit) I had a look at that file and it uses Database Codes so you cant use it.

Try this PCF File but you will need ProntoEdit NG or ProntoProEdit NG to open it.

I Have no experience with the HR21 but doesn`t it have a RF and IR Mode for the Remote Control that will need to be changed to IR Mode?

Hey Jasonvp,
Not sure about the RF on the HR21. Haven't really looked at it that close but I just use IR anyway. Everything works fine but I just can't get my tsu6000 to upload my ccf to my computer so that I can save all my learned codes that I just put into it from the DTV remote today. I get the prompt above so that is why I wanted to just download a ccf with the codes but couldn't find one for the pronto pro. I installed the ProntoProEdit NG and downloaded the file you suggested. I opened it up and had a look at it and it is what I'm looking for but how do I save the panel or device to a ccf form that I can then load into my pronto with ProntoEdit 4?

I do not know why you are getting the prompt.

What Operating System are you using?

All you can do is Copy & Paste the learnt Hex Codes from the PCF File to your CCF File.

Do you know how to do this?

Can you try learning them with the Pronto Software?

Not sure. This OS hasn't been a problem until today with the new DTV receiver. So far can't figure out how to get the copy and paste thing down. I imported my ccf which it converted to pcf. Then I copied the DTV portion of the file that I wanted and added it to my config but its in pcf form. I then looked to export it as a ccf or convert back to a ccf but didn't see that option. So my guesses have come up blank. I don't know how to go about this. Do I have to copy the code somehow and then paste it to my button? and then how to get it back to a usable ccf file again for my Pronto Pro?

Browsed over those threads. Most are about the com 1 port and the serial to usb cable not working . Mine works fine. I can connect and download a ccf from the computer to the pronto just not the other way around all of the sudden so that is why I want the file for the DTV hr21 and then just add it to my ccf and dl to my pronto. So that is where we are at. How to copy those codes in pcf format and save them in a ccf to use on my pronto.

You need to Copy each Hex Code from each Button in the PCF File and paste that Hex Code to the Buttons in the CCF File in Pronto Edit 4.

You can not convert a PCF to a CCF. Only CCF to PCF.

Got it! Thanks Jasonvp! Ya, was rt clicking the code and going to properties to find hex codes and couldn't find them. Then tried the double click and then saw it. Copy and paste from there was easy. Then downloaded it to my tsu6k and everything works perfect.
Thanks again!

Got it. Thanks for the on/off discretes. They do work. Didn't even think about those. Was just happy that after all that, they actually worked.
