Hi can someone please help me i have a marantz rc 5200 with a reset loop error i have followed the instructions to solve the prob with the hyperterminal prog i sent the ccf file with the x modem protercol when all the C's appeared everything goes ok after file has finished transfering i type go but the remote still has the reset fault .the file i downloaded was from the marantz us site file was called config ccf .please help its driveing me mad ...

Since you've tried the alternative methods in the FAQ, perhaps the best thing to do is use Tonto, a 3rd party alternative to TSS. After installing, on the toolbar under "remote" select "undead remote" and follow the directions. Usually works the first time. Tonto is available here: [Link: giantlaser.com].

Hi thanks for the link .when i download the program and install it it says the application has unexpectedly quit invocation of the java app has caused an invocation target exception then exits i have java 6 update 13 and have vista32bit any ideas thanks ps this was on my laptop it also did it on my media center

I just sent you the doc file I use to walk myself through this whenever I blow it and mess up a client's remote this way.

I've found that the biggest helps in correcting these problems are to download a ccf, as you're doing, rather than trying to do a firmware update; and to have the ccf you're going to use located in the first directory that Hperterminal looks in, so you don't have to muck about navigating while those CCCCCCCCCs are running out of time.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Thanks for the advice i did what you say it starts the upload everything goes ok when all is finished i type ok .But the remote still goes into loop any ideas ?.could it be iam uploading the wrong ccf file could you send me one you have used if poss . ps i must have tried the above 15 times..the leads i am using came with the remote .nikkai serial to usb
